[wsjt-devel] Decoded text without transmit

Would like, at times, to double-click on a CQ but NOT transmit.Trying to follow a DX for example and jump in. Could we use Shift Double Click to do the same as Double-Click but without the transmit? This is only a problem on FT8 as you don't have enough time to turn off transmit and you lose the

Joe, Yes, I totally agree with the skepticism on the decode, which is why I figured I should report it.  That said, I'd send you the file, but the list of .wav files in the save directory goes from 170924_, when I last used r8118, to 170926_, when I went back to r8118.  The time perio

Ed, How does every caller moving to the TX frequency of a CQing station with a double click REDUCE QRM? That INCREASES QRM. The station that sent CQ is now faced with multiple callers, and as a result often NOTHING is decoded. This wastes time. Then when he finally picks out a station, he is fac

Ed, I thought it was a bug too, but it was explained that it was often desirable to set up a qso by calling even though the is another caller...it lets people get in line and speeds up the operation. Of course, it clutters the band a bit too. 73, N0AN Hasan On Tue, Sep 26, 2017 at 7:14 AM, Ed W

Another thing I've noticed, is that disabling TX also disables the auto sequence (perhaps also the signal report detection?), so preparing by disabling TX creates some hassle if the station answers you. One could either add the option to disable TX if the station is calling someone else (not only w

FWIW, I can confirm the same problem with r8123. JTAlert does receive data from WSJT-X, but WSJT-X does doesn’t respond to a double click on a CQ in JTAlert 2.10.1. __ Dan – K4SHQ From: Ed Wilson via wsjt-devel [mailto:wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net] Sent: Tuesday, September 26, 2017

Hello Ed- I find the feature of continuing to transmit "if split" to be handy as I usually call DX split to avoid all the QRM associated with a DX station. Sometimes several calls are necessary to hook up with a DX station. Also helps to get on a "Q" list with the DX station. Bill W2PKY On Tue,

Hasan, Thanks for the comment! Although it may be a feature, I found myself causing QRM several times yesterday when I was working FT8 split and some station did not answer me. It might not be as much a problem with JT65 or JT9 when there are approximately 10 seconds to react and disable Tx manu
