Hi Bill and MIke,
"and/or If Split is already set in the radio."
Please disregard the comment about the current Split status of the rig. I
forgot that in the response to the 'IF;' command, that message contains the

Well…COM11 and 12 are in Device Manager and they go away when the cable to the
9700 is unplugged and return when it’s plugged in. But in checking their
properties, the Information window of the Events tab says

Hi
Using IC9700 with 2.5.2 with out any issue - I don’t recall seeing any hamlib

Rig failure
Hamlib error: IO errorport_open: serial_open(COM

Hi Bill,
Any invalid command will result in a '?;' response, even a SET command.i.e. if
you send 'AC000' and the tuner is already in a 'AC000' state in reply to 'AC;'

that problem and it took me a while to figure why/

Hi Sam,
the Kenwood protocol does not respond to CAT commands that set things,
so there is a problem with reading any invalid response ('
Hi Mike,
Sorry, I forgot to highlight and mention that at the highlighted lines
belowwhen Split is turned on again, it is actually in reverse where VFO-B is
now receiving and VFO-A is transmitting. This is reverse back to VFO-A Receive
and VFO-B Transmit later on. 73,
