For whatever reason, that doesn't work when the save menu is open...

I've never had to use shift. Just prtsc by itself brings up Spectacle and I've
never had issues with it.

Hi Jim,
Welcome.
I found out the reason a screen capture seem to jack up my Kubuntu 20.04
machine it was due to a low battery in my wireless mouse. No idea why I
can't do a shift print screen to do a screen capture with the save menu
open in WSJT-X...

This just makes too much sense. :) I don't get blind callers. I once called out

Hi Sam,
Yes, we talked about that several months ago, but your download site

thing I need is another password. :) I have close to a GB of

Jim,
I use editpad or notepad++ and cut out every line that doesn't have my
call in it. This cuts it down to usable size.

Hi Jim,
What is the OS on your PC.If its Windows (any version) my program AllText.exe
can search through any size All.txt. Given the date and callsigns it will
display the data in less than 0.5 second even if the file is larger than a 1GB.
It does not load the file into memory. It can be active
Personally, I think this would be a great approach.
It doesn’t defeat the timer. It only offers an alternate button to reset it.
It also tells you where you might be in the countdown timer cycle.
Side comment:
The reality of a big DX pile-up is that the Hounds have no clue at all just how

Jim,
That feature is in the new release candidate and works well..

Please provide an option to start a new ALL.TXT for each calendar month,
keeping each month's file and naming it by the month. Without that
option, the file grows so large that it cannot be opened by any software

trying to reply to you when you can't decode them.
I see tons of "blind callers" on any DXpedition doing this.

You’re talking about defeating the timer, which is there for a reason. If you
aren’t getting a response from the other station, give it a break and let
someone else have a bit of a chance before you “reset”
If you chase DXpeditions using the Fox/Hound mode, you are probably aware
that you need to toggle the Tx Enable button Off and then On before the 90
second timeout period. If you don't, after 90 seconds the Tx Enable turns
off and you stop transmitting. Many, if not most of us, have been caught

I just started experiencing an issue today, it has not happened in the week
or so that I have been using the rc6.
When the TX watchdog timer times out during TX, I will lose rig control. It
still transmits for that cycle, and WSJT-X gives a rig control error, and it
decodes my own transmission.
I don't see how HRD should be able to crash WSJTX except with a bad response
and non-robust code in the HRD transceiver backend.
But the log I saw doesn't show a bad response and the section of code in HRD
looks bullet proof.
Crashing is a sign of a segmentation fault which is either a NULL point

To follow up on this: if you want to know the exact reason for the crash, you
will need to run the WSJT-X app from gdb.

Hi,
For those of you who have problems with occasional program crashes, I
can recommend the following:
* Download this "wsjtx_log_config.ini" file and save it to your log
directory (for Linux, put it in ~/.config):

Green found the same as you. If I just deleted the JT9 process, it still
didn’t work with N1MM. I have to restart the computer to again operate.
