I worked 3Y0J 17 m FT8 February 11 at 1603 UTC. At that time they were transmitting "even" and had a clock error of 0.4 seconds. F/H hound mode worked as expected and moved me from 2579 to 256. I was very surprised to hear the reports of a large clock error causing their TX on the wrong cycl

I would look at the water fall display bursts being over the line and estimate the time offsets. Wait till the seconds were into the next minute and set the seconds to 30 + or - the an estimated correction then start the clock at 30 seconds. After decoding a few, I'd check the time offsets in th
