As Mike has already said, USB is not a valid com port. So the error
message says exactly what the problem is.
Linux should be something similar to this: /dev/ttyUSB0 or /dev/ttyUSB1.
My Icom 7100 is set to /dev/ttyUSB0 for cat control.
