I would say you should work on getting nxproxy working on Android, before
bothering with PulseAudio. But you should start with getting an X-server
and SSH with X forwarding running. Somebody recently posted a link to a
(somewhat?) working X-server for Android. You could probably start there

Hello,
I am interested in porting the x2go client to Android, so I wanted to know
first what are the dependencies, what is done so far, maybe i will start
working on an already done version instead of working from scraps.
Maybe someone who tried to work on this task have some directions for me.
I summed up what x2go needs to be ported on Android:
nxproxy - an application that is needed to access remote desktop.
NX protocol makes it possible to run any graphical application on any OS
across any network.
Consists of 2 part a server side and a client side.
For clients we have:
Do you have working `ssh -X' (ssh-client + X11 forwarding via ssh) on
Android (I don't have such devices and never interested about software
for it) ? Try searching for this if you don't have it already. If you
have this, then I think that you can make at least graphics forwarding
working rather
can we use the x2go without the nxproxy, the protocol to compress data?
Compression is very important feature of NX and X2Go because raw X11
for comfort operation requires rather high bandwidth with low latency.
With NX one can work via rather slow connections (just like with RDP).

Hi Lucian,
Nable has already contributed here and there as a reply to this mail.
Also Reinhard pointed out that there indeed is an X-Server project for
Android which is already in beta state.
I will inline go through your mail in detail below.

Hi,
I saw your post about starting to develop x2go client for Android back from
September 2011. I wonder what is the current status of this new project.
Thanks,
Haroon

If you were referring to:
the custom 42 core ARM Cluster to in order to do have a a proper build
environment and hardware that will allow contributors to submit and build
the 20,000+
My reading of the information available is that the cluster would be
available and used by *both*
thanks Mike...
Getting Ubuntu was very cool to see on an Android tablet.
If x2go can be made to work then it won't matter the power of the tablet as
the server will do all the heavy lifting and the tablet will just become a
very portable
terminal keyboard to the applications on any x2go server.

Is it correct to assume that Unity is still using X and thus will work

Unity (just like gnome-shell) uses OpenGL and therefore will not work
with nxagent at all.
Unity2d however should work just

It very much looks like we could soon develop a version of x2go for running
on Android based devices which would be awesome! :)
