Well, I'm pretty sure my issue is with the player itself because any disk image (even fresh downloads) I feed it results in the same thing. Thanks for the info on the registration. I'll try it as a way to get a "fresh" install of the player since there hasn't been a new version out in awhile. And

I recently had a partial hard drive failure of my XP Pro partition but have moved to another drive thanks to a Knoppix cd and the dd command. However, since then Vmware never gets past the initial splash screen and doesn't show any of the pseudo bios messages. My guess is that one or more of the

PCLinuxOS is an excellent distro - I'm trying Test Release3 which is the latest one but PCLinuxOS 2007 isn't released at time of this writing.. (I looked..just) . If thats the distro your referring to? I have been asking in the forums for their authors to include the Ham radio section in the repo
