It makes sense that if you're trying to receive and transmit 9600 baud APRS

I've seen this on my D700 and my Alinco 135 when I tried to use a really old

I'd first try to find a computer with a real serial port. Failing that,
start trying different usb to serial adapters and hope you find one that

Unfortunately the Cygwin environment can't be statically linked both by

The license requires that you distribute the entire thing or not at all.
And there's no way in the tools that they provide to statically link in the

Hello one and all,
After upgrading to SUSE 10.3 (further pitfalls and gotcha's to follow

there is an easy fix and I also verified that it works in 10.2 also.

The correct Xastir interface type for a D700 is Serial TNC with GPS on AUX
port.
If you use the pre-built start and stop scripts you won't even have to
change modes before starting Xastir. It'll do that for you.

OK, after many suggestions and to avoid a full reset (something I'm not

I must have missed an internal setting then if you are using the default
script without any *baud changes. I'll have to fire up Kenwood's MCP
program and see what it says as well as try some stuff in a terminal.
Besides, it's been awhile since I downloaded the settings for safekeeping.
