John, I just filed another trouble ticket [1] in Red Hat's Bugzilla for the latest Xastir package. The person that built the last package said he had the mapping problem fixed. I just installed it and it fails. Hopefully this will be fixed soon. Eric W4OTN [1]

The version of Xastir in the yum repository still has a few kinks to iron out, first. I think the biggest part that isn't working properly is online maps. The problem exists somewhere around the libcurl, I think, but I'm not sure exactly. There is an open bug report on Red Hat's Bugzilla
