Well, a start would be the spec/format of the wxnow.txt file and some
samples. I googled it and really couldn't come up with anything too
useful.

Davis Weatherlink, WxSolution, Wuhu?, VPLive are also other programs
which support the wxnow file.

Interesting idea!
It seems it would be pretty simple to change one of the daemons (which I
believe all have roots in the wx200d daemon) to read a file rather than a
socket.
