I have the following problem when I try to provision. I used to be able to
do this, but I managed to zap some xCAT tables and am starting from scratch
again.
Thanks.

Russell,
Can you comment out line 106 "return 1" from
/opt/xcat/lib/perl/xCAT_plugin/syncfiles.pm and try again? Please restart
xcatd.

What version of xCAT are you using? Are there service nodes involved?
Which network are planing to use for deploying the nodes, 10 or 172?
Did you run makedhcp -n and makeshcp -a?
Have you put the node's ip in /etc/hosts?
Did you run makedns?
Can you show us the output of lsdef ?
Thanks,
Ling G
Ling, I'll try to answer some of your questions.
xCAT 2.8.3.4
I plan to use the 172 network.
The answer to everything else is NO.
I am trying to follow 'Tutorial on Managing z/VM through the xCAT-UI.
I just recently applied the latest maintenance to xCAT.

Hi Ling,
Thanks for looking at this! I was troubleshooting this issue some more
this morning and something, unbeknownst to me, fixed the issue. I have
no idea what changed but it seems to be resolved now
Sure wish I knew what was breaking it! :-)

Hi Russell,
Sure, that is a good news. I tried on a RH6.4 node and it worked
fine.
Thanks,
Ling

Unfortunately there's no network driver for virtio. After I rebuilt
Genesis with the network driver everything worked fine. I followed a bug
report that was submitted about this exact issue, looks like xCAT 2.10
will include the virtio network driver by default.
Thanks for following up on this
