\pagenote comes from pagenote package, here is the content of the package,
traditionalpoem with empty lines really has no problem but also pagenote
with empty lines has no problem except when added in traditionalpoem
environment. I will appreciate any help.

Where does \pagenote come from? I think the problem has nothing to do with
bidipoem but the actual problem is because of the empty line that you put.
To fix this, you should perhaps have \long\def\pagenote

I am trying to use a pagenote inside a traditional poetry, it works well if
there are no empty lines, but if there is an empty line of "para" it makes
error in processing. I tried to use \protect but it doesn't work. How can I

Actually, this there is no issue for Persian users because they can use
xepersian which provides Persian equivalent of TeX primitives and also
Persian equivalents of many LaTeX commands and environments (This is heaps
more than what ConTeXt has done, you even can perform your macro programming

visually you are right but I guess that it is typeset correctly but shows
wrongly on texworks and that hs to to do with mixing RTL and LTR.

environment because firstly it gives no TeX capacity error and secondly
footnote (which is the poem) is typeset better, without being centered. see

Actually bidipoem knows how to handle footnotes in general so you actually
do not need to use a combination of \footnotemark and footnotetext (see
atached sample), however the situation that Heba is describing is more
complex and a combination of \footnotemark and \footnotetext is neces

I'm using bidipoem's traditionalpoem environment to typeset a Syriac
madrasha. The metre of many madrashe mixes couplets, which are usually
set on a single line with a gap between the two halves, and single
lines. Traditional poem is great at setting the couplets, but
