Hi,
I am facing a small problem with the XFree86 4.2.99 version on Intel 845
graphics adapter.
I am using kernel 2.4.18-14. on this setup. Everything works fine on
this setup except the cursor color is always red. I am using the rpms
from RawHide which were built on Dec 30. (These rpms looks

Summary: when the mouse input driver uses a named pipe as a "device",
the new PS2 initialization sequence code (added about two weeks ago)
causes the server to go into infinite loop sending the initialization
byte to the pipe.

At least on Linux PPC, it appears as though XF86CardDrivers in
my host.def isn't getting read. It used to work with this same
configuration a couple of months ago. I set XF86CardDrivers to "nv"
in the host.def but in the /drivers directory XF86CardDrivers is
the list from xfree86.cf.
Please find log file below.
Whenever I try to start an X session using 'startx', it always fails.
Any pointers as to what I can do to resolve the problem?
thanks,
Rishi.

Ignore me if you want. The bottom of the enclosed log file
suggested sending it to you. If you have any suggestions for
fixing the problem, I, of course, would appreciate them. A friend
of mime suggests it is something to do with fonts installation
and nothing to do with the X-server. Note that e

It is in CVS.
It is change number 764, and made it in before the 4.2.99.4 tag
(20 January 2003), so any CVS version which reports

I guess this is some kind of design fault in i810 driver.
Generally it happens when load on X is high enough (or is it peak load
that's high enough?). Usually KDE is involved, but there was someone
running StarOffice. I've seen this on FreeBSD. Other people've seen this
on Linuxes. XFree86 can

Hello,
I have a computer with Radeon VE and only a pal TV set as output.
I am trying to configure it but I have not yet found the right options
(eg.: crtscreen) and right modeline to view xfree on my TV.
Has someone already do it?
Thanks you in advance!

Hello,
I have just tried xfree 4.2.99 on my thinkpad with trident cyber 9385.
The bug that causes scrambled screen is still there.
The bug started in Xfree 4 (xfree 3.3.x works fine).
The screen is scrambled due to wrong refresh rates sent to lcd.
I have tried with an external monitor. If eg. I use
