From your xfree 85 log I can see that your on 4.2.1.1, so you need to
uipgrade to xfree86 4.3.0 or above for Radeon 9000 support.

You need 4.3.0. The SiS 6326 is not supported in 4.2.1

Why is not possible to use XF86 with my

I've Mandrake 9.0 installed; after the
installation,I have an error with my graphical interface. Then I configure
xserver, then I
found in the log file "/var/log/XFree86.0.log".

Re: [XFree86] HELP
Does anyone know if there's a proposed release date for 4.3.0 ?
I'm currently using 4.2.99.4, but it stops KDM working (on My SUSe 8.0)
and I don't think those nice people @ SUSe are Compiling versions of X

Hi
I've just installed xf86 4.2.99.4 so I can have My Radeon 9000 working
modes other than the VESA ones, and after installing xf86 (..binaries
using Xinstall..) and now kdm no longer works (kde 3.05a) ... xdm works,
so at least I can use X, and it uses kde as the desktop... I'm just
stumped
Your Motherboard has the Intel 845 chipset, and XF86 (4.2.0) is identifying
it as Intel 815, and is failing to find a device... I guess the 845 is not
supported in such an old version of XF86...
Have yoou tried any of the newer (4.2.99.x) versions of XF86?

Or you could try it with the X Vesa drivers, but you would be limited in
your screen resolution
Try 4.2.99.4
