This is my first try with XMail and so far I'm struggling with the
documentation. Is there any where else to find out how to do the following
things:
- restrict POP3 access to using APOP or some other form of authentication
(ie no PLAIN passwords)
- restrict SMTP so that only authenticated us
export MAIL_ROOT=/var/MailRoot
Though if your running xmail via rc.d, it should already be set.

I am running RedHat 7.2, logged in as root (is that the problem?)
Hope someone could cast some
Thanks for the help but the problem is

On Tue,
Wow. I didn't expect to cause such a mess with that message. Oh well,
thanks anyway. Removing the 0.0.0.0 ... line from the smtprelay.tab file
was what I needed.
Thanks again,

my machine. I would like to use POP3 before SMTP and I have edited the
server.tab file to show "EnableAuthSMTP-POP3" "1". This still will allow
any machine to relay mail through the server. Any suggestions t
