Dear Bob,
a comprehensive collection of SMTP error codes (put into a nifty
list by categories and really legible ;-) ) can be found in RFC 1893
http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc1893.txt

How do I fix a link error? Can you explain more what a link error is?
Whay would it be effecting only one or two domains?

Yes, the commands HELO PASS list and read work fine !
I have tried outlook, netscape 4.7 and eudora with the same result !
The setup is the same I have used

And authenticate? If so, it's not the server, it's the client.
Most likely your client isn't configured properly. Either work through the
documentation on the client or try a different client.

That's a client problem. You might want to verify that you can connect using
telnet from a command prompt.

Strange problem.
I have setting up a domain and a POP3. When I try to connect via POP3
client (outlook or netscape) the authentication receive only the name
and not the domain.
For example
email address is [EMAIL PROTECTED]
setup of pop3 client:
login: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
pwd: password
On the pop3
I don't know.. manybe another one will spring up so I can trace it or
something .

I've looked trough your previous messages again and if you really get those
kind of message setup in your e-mail programm something is fishy.
The content of the mail you described looks like the way internal messages
are kept by X-mail.
They start with (processing domain; MsgId; headers; data).

If you have reverse dns lookup enabled and it fails (ie the name they gave
in ehlo was not the domain their ip mapped to), then this message would be
sent. Check to see if you have Perform-RDNS=1 (or whatever) in your
server.tab file.

IMHO You should set=20
smtp-timeout to (endless + 1)/2=20
Set IMAP processing speed to sqrt((50 msg's + 1)=B2).
I hope this will help.

Hi,
I have been working on various parts of my V, and have come across what
seems to me like a conflict.
My Velocity is a FBF & FBW Std. Elite RG. The factory did not install the
keel or speedbrake.
Here is what I have done:
-Cut out and installed the Speed brake
-Installed 3 out of "5" 1/4"
All:
Is there a list of error codes with corresponding explanations along with
which setting controls that message in the server.tab file?
I am curious to know which setting would allow the following message to be
generated or controlled?
551 Server access forbidden by your IP
Thanks, Bob
