You are getting this message because the installer cannot find the XMail registry key (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\GNU\XMail). However after taking a quick look at the installer code, I noticed that I spelled GNU wrong :-p. I am uploading a new build now that will fix it. Sorry about that. Shaw

My understanding is that you should place the files you are creating in the C:\xmail\spool\local folder (create them elsewhere and copy them to that location). I don't think placing the files directly into the numbered spool folders is a good idea. From the documentation: XMAIL LOCAL MAILER

Hi Adrian, You may take a look at the messages in your favorite text editor. I bet they still have a couple lines at the top that Xmail uses when they are in the spool. Perhaps these lines are the problem. My guess would be that if you deleted those spool-specific lines, and then coppied the fil
