I'm trying to use XMail + imap + mysql (in Linux), but I still can't solve all

Both, Dovecot and Courier-imap need some tricks to work with XMail.

I am trying to find a way to archive messages on the xmail server side
(xmail v1.17 running on linux).
I have big-time problems with staff owning big, really BIG mailboxes.
It affects everything; from the performance of each workstation to Outlook
2k behaving erratically.
Any help
I finally got around to writing up a How-to. On how-to set Xmail + Dovecot.
(which will handle both Imap + Pop3)
I know Xmail handles Pop3. But I've found I have less issues with users who
use a combo of Pop3 + imap.
If the Service that handles pop3 also handles imap. This setup is IMHO alot

support. Has anyone been successful in setting it up? I would very
much like to hear some positive results and maybe see a How-To or

Courier-IMAP looks good, but has troubles with end of lines,
and produces double messages to POP after IMAP access.
This troubles make Courier useless in a combination with XMail.

I've read about the "IMAP and Squirrel Mail with XMail" hack, but
meantime is some IMAP server suitable for Xmailserver "as-is", did
somebody have a cleaner solution ???
