Here is a proposed alternative. I invite you to try it out and

This is perhaps a little off topic, but how are you liking the Thinkpad
Yoga? I heard that the Thinkpad Yoga stylus doesn't have an eras
ys use the polygonal/filled stroke
representation.

It's a bit of a hack, but boxes are easy to draw and I wanted
something immediately. A marginal improvement would be arbitrary polygons.
However...
You can't just "add fill-in" to rectangles and circles
Hi Luca,
Good idea! I have a few comments about this particular patch, however:
- It would probably be better if we had one patch which converted
Xournal to use some sort of configuration parsing library (simpler
is probably better), and then adding -e as a proper option. As
it stands now,
Great news!

Hello Daniel,
I think your students may be running into this issue:
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=651264
When I apply the workarounds described in the bug report,
Glade loads. Another alternative is to install an old version
of Glade.
Cheers,

Hello folks,
Xournal should probably look at taking some of the patches distributions are
shipping with Xournal. In particular, Ubuntu has one patch which fixes
annotated PDF display on Oneiric (the PDF doesn't show up otherwise.)
You can grab them here:

I wonder how difficult it would be to add onion skinning and better layer
support. I would love to be able to use Xournal to draw time-varying
diagrams.
