Hello everyone, I'm pretty new to the *nix/FreeBSD OS thing and would like get your feedback on what XFree86 config utility I should use in order to build my config file. I just freshly installed the latest XFree86-4 on FreeBSD and would like to find out which is the best to use for this Xserver

[Xpert]mga overlay option and render extension

I am trying to use gnome2 with the mga overlay option turned on. For some reason, the AA fonts fail only when overlay is turned on, but work fine when X is run in normal 24bit mode. It appears that the render extension is not getting loaded or is not found when overlay is turned on. Is this

The first user logs in through xdm, but the second user is in a different room (or not even the same building) but will telnet to the machine and start the build (which needs access to the X server). Is there a good reason why an `xhost +localhost` in the first user's .xinitrc wouldn't work?
