Hello, there.
I am going to be putting together a recording
"appliance", and plan on using a fairly minimal distro
as the base, and installing the software I need from
there.
Some of the applications I will be installing require
the XFree86 libraries and headers (basically like what

Hmm - how meta is that ;-)
Seriously, IIRC, GGI allowed something like this. I
distinctly remember seeing a demo with a cube that had
six different WMs on each of its sides. GGI had the
problem of being slow (well, unaccelerated anyway) and
kernel-version dependent, though.

Sorry to bother you all, but this is not the kind of question you can
ask google: have you ever heard of an X server implementation *for*
opengl? IE: an X server which runs on top of Opengl.
I would like such a thing, because it could allow me to experiment
something like a 3d world with, say, an

I would be ETERNALLY grateful if someone could get this to work on my Dell
Inspiron 5000e with an ATI Rage 128 Mobility video card. I use the dual
head under Win98 and find it invaluable for web programming. I would switch
to Linux/XFree86 for good if dual-head becomes possible.

Are there any plans to add it in the future? I might take a look at it
if I could ever get time away from coding for work (gooo startup!).
Where?--I assume you are talking about where did I see a working
config... well... right here on the list. Was it working or not... I
guess not. It was

Hello,
My eyes are crying for a 75 or 85 Hz screen with Kdrive server...
I have successfully launched Xfbdev and Xvesa servers, but the frequency
always remains 72Hz. Changing the arguments on the command line does not
change anything.
Does anyone have a good insight on kdrive to let me know if
