. These are very common on not very old and very good single board machines. Interestingly XF86_SVGA as distributed by RedHat along with 4.0.3 is the only thing which works at all with my cyrix chips. Thanks for the tip but I would realy like to go forwards. I'll keep you informed. Charles Bra
