months, said Sun executives at JavaOne. They also talked about what
else is new with J2EE in a question and answer interview.

Handset maker Nokia plans to sell 100 million phones using the
software language by the end of 2003. If Nokia goes through with its
plans, the company may single-handedly increase the number of
existing Java phones by a factor of more than 30. By most estimates,
there are now just 3 million mobile phones enabled with a form of
Java called Java2 MicroEdition.

SEARCHSOLARIS.COM WEB LINK OF THE DAY
======================================

"A guide to passwords and password security"
This page is written for students of Bergen County Technical Schools,
but the information here applies to anyone using passwords as a
security measure. It defines what a password is, what constitutes as
password security and provides guidelines for choosing a good
password -- all great information to distribute to employees. If you
want to take it one step further, consider the warning the Bergen
County Technology Center announces to its students: "If you choose an
unsecure password, your account may be locked."

A look at an off-the-wall story from the Web...

"Having a bad day? It's hilarious"

It's the 30-second MPEG that brings joy to crabby cubicle creatures
everywhere. For years, folks have received the clip as an e-mail
attachment, and gleefully watched the drama play out from what
appears to be an office surveillance camera. A portly worker slaps
his monitor in frustration. Moments later he slams his fist onto the
keyboard and eventually goes ballistic - smashing the helpless
monitor and sending it flying out of camera range. Since 1997,
viewers have wondered whether the clip was a Silicon Valley snuff
film or a hoax. Now we know for sure.
