Sun is trying to sue Microsoft into including Java software into Windows XP for the sake of competition. A lawyer for MS showed the court an e-mail from Sun's James Gosling, the founding father of Java. The e-mail states that Sun's own negligence is messing up Java on the client side. MS hopes to show that Sun's problems with Java are not entirely Microsoft's fault. SUN, SONY SIGN OFFICE DEAL | IDG News It looks like StarOffice's star in Europe is on the rise. Sony has agreed to install version 6.0 of the Sun software in certain Vaio models to be sold in Europe -- where MS Office rules.
