I really discovered the Pythonista app, which enables the user to develop
and run Python programs on the iPad and iPhone.

Several years ago, I developed a small Python program that uses Tkinter,
and am now interested in porting it from the Mac to the iPad where it could
run using Pythonista.

However, a preliminary test using the interactive Python prompt in
Pythonista shows that Tkinter is not available.

In particular, when I enter *Tkinter import ** the interpreter produces an
error message. (*no module named Tkinter*)

So, my question is: is there a way to make Tkinter available to the
Pythonista development and run time environment on the iPad?

Alternatively can someone point me to some alternative resource that would
provide GUI functionality similar to that provided by Tkinter?

My Python has gotten quite 'rusty' recently, so it is possible that I am
overlooking something obvious, so please bear with me on this.
