Hi,

I have been trying to figure out why this card will not work with X for me.
I have tried to use Xconfigurator, and editing the XF86Config(-4) file, but
have not had any success.

My hardware is a Intel P4 1750 MHz, Asus P4T, 256 Mb of ram, Adeptec 29160
SCSI 160 card, SB live card, netgear FA311 10/100 NIC, IBM 18 Gb scsi HD,
yamaha scsi CD-Rom, and a Gateway VX900. (most of this probably does not
pertain, but rather to much info than not enough)

I have Fresh install of Redhat 7.1 with all the updates that RH provides. my
kernel is 2.4.3-12, Xfree86 Version 4.0.3, and the kernel has the agp, r128
etc compiled in.

The graphical installer worked ok, but the video card did not get detected.

I used Xconfigurator and it did not detect it, but it did detect the
monitor! I selected the card from the list, and it still would not work.

I have noticed that there is a 4.1.0 version of Xfree is out now, but there
is no rpm available. If some one can say if this works, i will d/l it and
compile it.

Please help, I have a lot of computer here and need to get X runing ASAP.

Here is the output of SuperProbe:

        RAMDAC: Generic 8-bit pseudo-color DAC
(with 6-bit wide lookup tables (or in 6-bit mode))

here is what lspci -v outputs for the Video Card:
