If you're looking for filtering capabilities on incoming mail why not use
procmail? It's already installed, setup, and working. All you have to do
is fill in the rules. Fairly simple once you understand procmail.

I've been using procmail to strip attachments for months. Here's a rule
that I adapted from a friend of mine:

:0 B
* !^FROM_DAEMON
* .*Content-Disposition:.*attachment
* .*filename="[^\"]+.(bat|com|lnk|pif|vbs)"
{
         :0
         | echo `date` vb script or sircom  >> /root/blocked

         :0
         /root/mail/blockedmail
}

That will filter out attachments that end in .bat, .com, .lnk, .pif, and of
course the infamous .vbs. It drops the date and the virus name in the
/root/blocked file to notify me, and drops the infected mail in root's mailbox.
