Hello folks.
Milter is a sendmail option for "mail filter"-ing, hence the name. It allows
you to (for example) automatically remove attachments from incoming emails
that contain DOS/Windows executable files which match certain naming patterns
(such as ending in ".exe" or ".pif", etc). Wouldn't it be nice to keep our
email servers free of these pesky email viruses that have been going around
recently?
The problem is that sendmail does not enable this option by default, and as
far as I know, RH does not enable it in their builds of sendmail (I hope I am
wrong about that, but I believe it to be the case).
Does anyone know of a good source for rpms of milter-enabled sendmail for
RH7.1? I've gone through the patching/compiling process of sendmail before,
and would like to avoid that pain again.
