Hi,
You can either try the ALSA sound card drivers, which have support
for your card @ http://www.alsa-project.org/ or find out what the
options i810_audio ftsodell=1 is doing.....

Subject: Sound problems
Hi there
I run redhat 7.1 on a dell optiplex gx150 (Pen III
coppermine). My sound
card
is an onboard intel i810_audio. It picks up the card, but
sound is only on
the one speaker.
When I run kudzu --probe to check what card it is this is
the result....
class: AUDIO
bus: PCI
detached: 0
driver: i810_audio
desc: "Intel Corporation|82820 820 (Camino 2) AC'97 Audio"
vendorId: 8086
deviceId: 2445
subVendorId: 1028
subDeviceId: 00be
pciType: 1
I have tested the speakers before you ask...
Here is what loads in my modules.conf
alias eth0 3c59x
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio
options i810_audio ftsodell=1
post-install sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f
/etc/.aumixrc -L >/dev/null
2>&1 || :
pre-remove sound-slot-0 /bin/aumix-minimal -f /etc/.aumixrc
-S >/dev/null
2>&1 || :
alias usb-controller usb-uhci
can anyone direct me on how to fix this problem? I have no
knowledge on how
to fix sound problems on Redhat.....
Many Thanks
Chris Grigor
