Hi All,
I've recently upgraded our Samba PDC from a Redhat6.2 box running Samba
2.0.7 to a Redhat 7.1 box running the latest rpm Samba-2.2.1a-4 from
Roswell.
I've joined an NT4 box to the domain without any problems but when I try
and get a Win2K box to join the same domain it gives problems.
When I try to join the domain the Win2K box asks me to:
Enter the name and password of an account with permission
to join the domain.
What account and password is it looking for here, I've created the machine
account on the Samba PDC just asd I did for the NT box
Then I get the following error message:
The following error occured attempting to join the domain XXXX;
Logon Failure: unknown username or bad password.
Any help appreciated. I have a few hundred of these Win2K boxes to have
joined the domain by the weekend.
