Now, to fix the problem. If you have downloaded glibc-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm (or glibc-2.2.4-19.i686.rpm), glibc-common-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm and glibc-devel-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm, then run "rpm -Fvh glibc-*.rpm" and you should be all set. You have to upgrade all three packages at once! (You may also need glibc-profile-2.2.4-19.i386.rpm, depending on what you have installed.) If you do not plan on compiling any programs, you could remove the glibc-devel (and glibc-profile) packages.
