I am embarrassed. I kept asking why free could not recognize more that 4G of swap. Well I finally bit the bullet and looked at the source code of free. All it does is reformat the information in /proc/meminfo.
So the question is why doesn't the kernel recognize more than 4Gig of swap. Is this a parameter in the kernel compilation that can be set or is this hard coded and unchangeable. This is kernel 2.4.3-12. -- ------------------------------------------- Aaron Konstam Computer Science Trinity University 715 Stadium Dr. San Antonio, TX 78212-7200 telephone: (210)-999-7484 email:[EMAIL PROTECTED] _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
