Hi all,

For some time I'd been using RH6.1 with KDE on an IBM Thinkpad 380ED (32MB RAM, P166
processor, 2.1GB disk, blah, blah)

Don't ask me, but I don't want to throw it yet :)

Matter is that in order to make some test I upgraded it to RH7.1 and seems that KDE
requires MUCH more RAM to run because the machine went soooo slow that it is barely
usable.

Could you refer me to some sort of "light" or "diet" configuration for the graphical
environment to have some decent or at least acceptable performance? Is this too
difficult to achieve?

Regards
