Ok, thank you all for your answers, at least now I have an idea of how the install works and hopefully not screw up much of my current configuration. I am somewhat of a newbie and have spent the last 3 months (at least) trying to configure and understand it all, so I am a little heasitant to do it all over again.
The reason I want to upgrade is probably not so desperate but I have been trying to install some software like genomemeeting and I can't run it without some dependency installations like openssl but when I Upgrade it, it lists other dependency problems that conflict with other programs like there's no tommorrow. So I haveto have both versions installed. I'd also like to be updated with the latest drivers to get my devices working better, and I want KDE 3, etc. I hope that an upgrade will fix these things. I think since my workstation consists of mostly rpms, I will try to backup my config files I remember editing and do an upgrade first, if only minor things need tuning, I can handle that, but if everything needs re-configuration, I might as well do a complete re-install. I just didn't want to spend all that time on it again. Anyway, Thanks. _______________________________________________ Seawolf-list mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://listman.redhat.com/mailman/listinfo/seawolf-list
