Of course you've had lots of responses... but I'm a big fan of "du
--max-depth=1 <other opts>", to show summaries for immediate
subdirectories
within.

Subject: Directory size?

Is there a way to find out how much disk space is being used by a
directory, including the subdirectories it contains?

I've been through the ls man page, but it doesn't mention anything.
I'd rather not script it if there is a nice little utility or switch
that I don't know about.

Thanx!

Michael
