Hello Everyone,

Running RH7.1 with all RH updates.

I set up a user's kppp to execute /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla upon
connect to Earthlink and all user cookies
and other things go to /root/.mozilla/default/atol*/cookies.txt instead
of /home/user/.mozilla/user/9*/cookies.txt

I put in a * in the paths because I'm too lazy to look up the real names
right now.

If you do kppp connect without an execute and then do a user kde desktop
icon execute of /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla,
the user's cookies correctly go to user's /.mozilla directory.

I discovered this stuff while trying to set up users' Earthlink start
pages (http://start.earthlink.net) in Mozilla's home page location.
I would get one user to see his Earthlink start page then all other
users would get that user's start page. This happens because kppp
execute upon connect of /usr/local/mozilla/mozilla runs like root for
all users so they end up setting and/or sharing root's mozilla
cookies and such.

See ya,
Roy
