Hi Roy,
How to use the ATX commands. Is there a way in which I
can make the modem NOT wait for the dialtone before
dialling the number. This is because the dial tone is
there as soon as the line is opened, and hence there
is no need to ask the modem to wait and recognize the
dialtone. This feature is available in Windows 2000.
And since i am new to Linux, i am in a bit of problem
with this. Please advice.
It seems the problem is due the fact that we in India
may have a different dialtone than other countries. If
this is the case, then is there any way to avoid this
problem?

Thanx,
Debopam.
