If I upgrade from glibc-2.2.2-10 to glibc-2.2.4-24 (using rpms), is it going to break the applications I'm running?
Is glibc-2.2.4-24 backwards-compatible with applications that were compiled under glibc-2.2.2-10? I remember a couple years back, I did the recommended rpm upgrade of glibc on a previous version of Redhat, and the result was that it horribly munged the system - practically nothing would load anymore. I don't want to repeat the same mistake.
