thanks roy! i didn't know any of this stuff. currently, when i click on my kde
desktop and drag, i get these enormously nihilistic black splotches that
effectively render working in kde impossible if not unlikely until i move some
windows around to erase the black stuff. it's like opening up jagged black holes
into the 5th dimension and then painting them all away with windows. it's fun.
