Hi All ,

Linux , but it seems like these packages have been discontinued. Doe anyone

I thiunk you can still find the PhotoPAINT! 9 download.<ftp://ftp2.corel.com/pub/linux/PhotoPaint9/>
If you can get througy.

know where I can find an Equivalent package that reads Corel Draw files
for both Windows and Mac ? At least , I am hoping that there is a package
suite out there that delivers the same functionality and features and more importantly , produces files that are compatible with the equipment used
at repro houses.
I've not found any other app that reads CorelDraw files other than CorelDRAW!

I've had resonable luck RUNNING CorelDraw 6 with wine/CrossOverOffice. It won't install, but it runs. I only have the DRAW portion that came with the Professional version of WPO7 (the one with Paradox and QuatroPro on 3 CDs). It was installed on a Windows9x system, and the drive was later moved to the linux box. I tried installing, and it wouldn't work. I also tried installing the Windows version of PhotoPAINT 8, but it wouldn't install either.

If you can get it installed it will probably work. Newer versions (Draw/Paint 9?) will probably work too. The problem is installing.
I do wish Corel would release the whole Draw9 Suite (as CD images ) or at least the other apps like they did PP8. They wouldn't loose any money on it and would make a few users happy :)
