Subject: CERT paper and AOL VPN?

Just wondering, is the "another machine" also logged into AOL? The AOL
connection does create a L2TP tunnel over whatever connection method you
have (dialup or Internet), so off the top of my head, I would assume that
the CERT paper was referring to other people on the AOL network, perhaps
other people also logged in via their VPN tunnel.

It's also possible that filesharing, specifically, is blocked by AOL. This
would certainly be something AOL would do for it's users instead of relying
on/forcing them to do it themselves.
