-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I for one was under the impression that the Selinux from the NSA was actually a set of basically rule sets and kernel patches that you implemented into, I believe RedHat was the one I was reading on the site. With this in mind, if the box is already setup right I have a feeling that it should be quite secure and useable.
I also have not come across an extra box to implement Selinux on as well, (I am hoping that will be changing soon thou) Just my 2 cents worth regards John "Programmers are tools for converting caffeine into code." - --Anonymous - -----Original Message----- From: Bill Walls [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Monday, January 07, 2002 3:14 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Regarding the NSA's Linux Distro Hello all. Being the most dynamic and honest bunch around, I thought I would ask the list a simple question. I have been on the NSA's mailing list for Secure Linux, and I have to say above all, its slow list and heavily moderated :). I have never installed it yet, as I haven't found an extra box yet to implement it on... But this all boils down to some questions: How "Secure" do you think it is? How usable do you think it is? Is it something I should research more into (As a coder, I'm interested about the process management and such...) What are your feelings on the NSA Linux? Thank you for the input...I haven't met anyone yet who has installed it. :) "Buffer Overflow in /dev/stomach due to vodka.o!" _________________________________________________________________ Send and receive Hotmail on your mobile device: http://mobile.msn.com -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: PGP Personal Security 7.0.3 iQA/AwUBPDqI9zvC8/pY5u+jEQL0vwCg9ao7kOLBatkQG0b6edvBHQtZ/mAAn2n1 xzCu8cMtIlKCOWk10E3jZXhZ =vzES -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
