I agree with Bill. HR people just do not understand that paper certs are useless unless the individual has the experience to go along with the paper certs,
You gotta get an interview with IT folks. Use your resume to get your foot in the door. Once you get in the door, get an interview with the CIO or other IT person. This is where the rubber meets the road. Most IT types understand the difference between experience and paper certs very well. If you know your stuff, you'll get hired. Certs are great. But experience is more important. Get your certs AFTER you get some experience and you'll do fine in your next interview. As far as resumes go...spelling counts BIG. Run your spell checker over your resume before sending it to an employer.
