After reading some documentation on 3COM's web site, I found that the only way
to recover the password is if the switch was set up to allow password recovery. If it
is not, then you have to send it back to 3COM where, I suspect, they will send it back
to you with the password set to blank for the user ADMIN. Here is a link to the

You might also try doing your own search of 3COM's web site if you haven't already.
You might be able to think of some better key-words to search on in order to get
better results. I tried using "password", "lost", "recover", and "superstack" in
different combinations. It appears that 3COM doesn't support the SuperStack II
switches anymore and has very little documentation about them. Hope this helps.
