The idea with the e-mail address sounds quite nice but you mustn't forget that using e-mail addresses (or other complex but easy rememberable passwords made up by people themselves) usually are easier to guess. If you make up an e-mail address in mind this could be a good way for creating passwords, but people often are just lazy: They use their own e-mail address or birth date of their wife etc.
Passwords given by password generators are usually not connected to the person or his surroundings, so it is not possible to find out the password by just collecting information about the "target person".
