for all files remains intact. If file is wiped (at least using current
version of GNU shred), the associated slack space is NOT wiped with it!





Not sure if the above is actually true, but I doubt the program has
changed that much in a month.

bcwipe can wipe slack space specifically leaving the rest of the file
intact, but I am not sure if it wipes slack when it overwrites a file.
I assume that it does (it would be a little silly not to), but I am
not sure.
