Yeah and you can also install nessus server on a *nix machine and use nessus's windows client program to scan. And kind of good news is that nmap is also being ported to windows, so far it's not been tested properly. see below for text on this matter by Fyodor :
Windows support is currently in beta phase. We are not offering binaries for download at this time, but we might do so later in 2001. If you have a compiler (only Visual C++ has been tested), you can compile it yourself -- instructions are in the README-WIN32 file distributed with Nmap.
