Hello,
A recent Oracle blog post <https://blogs.oracle.com/security/post-
quantum-cryptography> about post-quantum cryptography says that “Oracle
intends in future Java versions ... To backport updated TLS mechanisms
and PQC support to long term support releases.” With OpenJDK set to
enable + prefer <https://openjdk.org/jeps/527> X25519MLKEM768 TLS key
exchange in the JSSE starting with JDK27, I was wondering: which LTS
versions would these changes will be backported to? Do we have an
approximate timeline for each?
For Oracle JDK update releases, we would publish information such as
this on the Java Cryptographic Roadmap [1], so you may want to
periodically check on that for updates.
For other vendor's LTS JDK releases, you would have to check with the
respective vendors for that info.
