Wow!
It's interesting in other respects too. The library makes extensive use
of XPath calls all over the place. If we actually read some of the stuff
into proper data structures (rather than just holding in DOM) we could
probably cut down times all over the place.
I'll re-wrap 1.1 tonight and make it official unless anyone objects
between now and then.
