Can you please post a quick description of your configuration and the
result of the following one-line command ?
grep -v ^$ /etc/shorewall/{zones,interfaces,masq,tunnels,policy,rules}
|grep -v :#
also, if you have a problem with the proxy, please also post the contents
of the /etc/squid/squid.conf file ...
